Week 0 --- Wednesday

[Knock knock. Flat, are you in the room?

Please don't be in the room, thought Revali. True, he could have entered like it's his own home -- and it is, it's literally his hotel room even if he's sharing it with someone -- but he'd rather to return later if Flat is there right now. He has curtains stolen taken from one of the houses, looking kind of frayed. He tried to remove any mold, really]

[ oh he is ABSOLUTELY in the room.

and if he sees revali coming in, he just looks up from his game of cards and grins. ]

Revali! What did you bring?

[Aw, damn, he's here. Revali is clearly not terribly happy about it, but fine]

Curtains.

[He pretty much tosses them on the floor]

Since there's one bed and you -- very unreasonably -- decided to claim it as soon as you laid eyes on it, I have brought this to make my own. Any objections? [Revali doesn't wait for a response] No objections, good.

[How did these two manage to share a room for a few nights before Revali brought this? Hell if I know, but it probably didn't amuse the bird at all, hah]

Well, I wasn't going to sleep on the floor and you didn't like to sleep in the same bed with me. Which I don't get still, since I'm a great person to sleep with.

[ yes, i know what i just wrote. ]

But that's great! You could use it as a tent, or maybe blankets. Or maybe a hammock?

[That certainly is something you wrote, hah]

A hammock, of course. That's more or less how it's like at home. It will be most uncomfortable because these are old curtains, but at this point I'll take my chances with this.

[Revali takes one end of the bundle of curtains and unrolls it]

You're not allowed on it. You already have one bed, you won't take this one as well.

[Apparently Revali thought saying that was necessary. Either his opinion of Flat is pretty damn low, or he knows exactly how Flat is like]

flat looks conflicted, as if he doesn't like being told what not to do. and in fact, that's exactly what it is. ]

Maybe sleeping on the floor would be better then. What if the curtains rip under your weight?

WEEK 0 --- FRIDAY

[Well this is looking pretty bad, and it was only somewhat worse when he found out Flat was all alone on Friday. At least he's fine.

Still, doesn't stop Revali from looking for him on Friday, once Van Zieks' gathering was over. How hard can it be to find this guy?]

[ rather hard, if you know where to look for him!

he's a bit far from the city, around where the glass bottles are. he seems to be staring at the ocean, kind of in a daze. ]

If you're thinking about sending bottles don't waste your time. They're not responding at all.

[Clearly the relaxation isn't working, look at the way you got startled, wow]

I was looking for you. I heard you spent the night alone in the room. Did anything happen during the night?

[Besides the obvious alarms and singing and songbirds and what not, he means]

Why would I call you "Master". Unless that's your kink?

[ as if flat knows what a kink is. or well, maybe he does, he's on the internet. ]

Aside from the sirens? Not really. [ he rubs the back of his neck, sighing. ] I was worried for you when I woke up, though! What if the spectres had gotten to you!?

[ it takes a while for flat to return to their room, considering he’s doing the world’s most half-hearted search for qi rong.

but when he comes back, he smiles at his unwilling roommate. ]

Hey, Master Rev, what’s up?

[Sigh. That's the greeting: a sigh at the nickname]

Fine. Close enough. I'll make an allowance for you.

[Revali had been up there in his hammock, staring at the ceiling. Doesn't even bother to get off when Flat arrives]

Since when were you so friendly with that guy?

I wasn’t, really.

[ flat flops on the bed, quickly adjusting himself to sit up in a cross-legged position. ]

But from what I heard from their drama and the little he said… I thought that he couldn’t be a bad person. Just someone that does bad things.

And what exactly is the difference?

[In Breath of the Wild things are pretty black and white, really, so Revali just...sees Qi Rong as a bad person. How not to? He butchered that guy Marius and tried to make someone else take the blame]

Mm, I wonder… I don’t really know?

[ flat has seen much worse, both from people completely unrelated to him and people close. he can’t judge any of them because he loves them all. humanity is both good, bad, and all the shades of gray in between. ]

I just think that he couldn’t have been evil from the start. I mean, not that it changes much—he still butchered a guy—but I think he was probably pushed into becoming a monster. And monsters…don’t really understand normal people’s logic.

Even though he may not have been evil from the start, he crossed a threshold when he was evil here. What you do here is what matters.

[Revali gets up from the hammock enough to turn his head over the edge towards Flat]

Don't place yourself in danger because of a misguided faith on other people.

[Marius had the bad luck of being paired with Qi Rong. If Flat had been the roommates instead Qi Rong probably would have an easier time getting to kill Flat, he assumes]

Final Night

[Well this sure was a time. Somehow, it seems to have ended on a positive note. Who'd have thought?

Despite everything, he's satisfied. Perhaps that's why he feels a little more sociable than he expected to be]

To think you didn't meet your end at any point...how unexpected. I suppose some form of congratulations are in order.

[Yeah, he thought Flat would make some stupid mistake and die. He didn't. It's incredible, in his opinion]

Thank you, sir! I mean, we really cut it close a couple times, but I didn't want to let people down.

[ he rubs the back of his neck. ]

I am sorry that we couldn't find you before you died, though. I think you would have gotten along with our group.

[ or maybe not, considering the people there. ]

[He probably wouldn't have sung kumbaya with everyone, but hey, he knows how to work alongside people he doesn't like. He probably would have been fine, haha]

That hardly is your fault. In a way, I cannot believe I was in close contact so many times with the people I was supposed to work alongside of.

[It's funny, really -- began the game with Flat there in his room, made some CR with a bunch of other roles, protected a couple of them -- 50% success rate, can you believe it...in a way he feels like he should have figured out the people he got kind of along with were the other roles]

It's kind of shocking, isn't it?

[ though he had kind of suspected some before encountering them. yoo joonghyuk, for example. but it was hard work to bring them all together into some sort of makeshift group ]

Ah, speaking of...I once got a letter that Suriel--Ochako--wrote. She told me that she got it from somebody else, and I think someone from the dead sent it. It doesn't really matter now, I guess, but I'm kind of curious if you knew.

It depends on what were the contents of such a letter. What was it?

[Probably not Revali's, but maybe he'll have an idea who sent it. Who knows!]

It's been redacted pretty heavily, but here--

[ he will take out his notebook from his bag and shuffle through the contents. there's a bunch of ripped up letters in there, but he seems to know exactly where the original note is, which he hands to revali:
